“These socks feel strong, but still very flexible. They look like they shape to the foot like a second skin. They also shed no lint in the wash that I could detect. When they do start to wear out, I should be able to mend them easily. Last but not least, they look good!”

“They shrunk to fit. They looked excellent. These are my first silk socks. If i had to do over, i would buy one of fort belvedere's cotton socks, because i am not sure i am getting much extra benefit looks or comfort-wise from silk socks. If you positively need to feel like your socks are as formal as possible i would buy them. If i had to do over for the black tie event i was attending, i would purchase black cotton over the calf socks from this company.”

“I am a US size 10.5 and the large socks were far too big. I am 6'2" and 195 lbs but the large socks pulled past my knees and had 2 inches of fabric beyond my toes. The size chart indicated that a 10.5 should buy a large but that was not even close to correct. SIZE DOWN IF YOU INTEND TO BUY.”

I am sorry to hear that the socks are too big on you, Donald. All of our socks are designed to shrink to fit once they are washed and dried. If you follow our size chart on the website, they will fit you once washed. I suggest you remove the tags on a pair, wash them, let them dry and then wear them again. If this doesn't fix the sizing issue, please let me know and we can start the return process for you. “Silk socks, boutonnieres, fancy pocket squares, and bow ties were all things I would have never considered wearing in my twenties. Boy was I missing out. These accessories took my outfits from looking like I had a court date to looking like I have a career! While it would proper to combine the "Finest Socks In The World" with a tailcoat, double-braided trousers, and opera pumps, they can be paired less formal get-ups just fine. They catch the eye of many observers and produce compliments (when they're visible). Don't be surprised if some may mistaken these socks as stockings because of the high sheen and see-through texture--but they'd be none the wiser. As far as quality they live up to their reputation. There is one catch though. These socks do run large. This can easily be remedied with a good washing and hanging them out to dry. They'll shrink enough to fit snugly. Whether you need a pair of formal socks for a black tie/white tie event, or maybe something to elevate a more casual outfit, these bad boys will serve a gentleman for many occasions. I have no reservations in recommending these socks.”

“Socks fit great and stay put after shrinking to size as instructed. Material is a little more sheer than expected and could be somewhat transparent in certain lighting.”
