“I was so impressed with this 21 day experience. The food was incredible, and I feel fantastic. Seriously. I love whole food plant based eating, but I wasn’t used to as much fat - avocado, nuts and seeds, yes, but not coconut oil and not even much olive oil. “Overall, I think this program is great. Eating these amazing foods makes you feel fantastic and super-healthy. However, I do wish that the Autumn Flavors cleanse I participated in had more warming foods. It's quite cool where I live in October, so three straight days of cold salads is not always appealing. I ended up switching up the order of meals within the week to get to some of the hot dishes faster. Otherwise, though, this program was great!”
“4.5 stars. I am so glad I participated in the 21-day cleanse. I signed up to help me kick the added sugar habit and experiment with dairy-free for a few weeks. I already don’t eat gluten or drink caffeine or alcohol, so avoiding those was not an adjustment for me. I learned a lot about making veggies, herbs, fruits, nuts and some legumes to fill me up.
The meal plan and shopping list were great. There were a few meals I didn’t love, but quite a few that I did (and will certainly make again). My only complaint was that week two was too calorie restrictive for me. To be fair, the cookbook provides many snacks and smoothies that I could have made; I just didn’t plan ahead for needing extra snacks.
Around the mid-way point my blood sugar was more stable than I thought it would be (especially given how much fruit we ate). I will go back to eating dairy, but will aim to keep it as clean as possible. My skin looks great! I now know the secret to good skin (for me) is eating a lot of veggies, not the expensive lotions. A valuable lesson to learn.”
“The 21 day plant-based cleanse was my first time eating vegan. I went into it apprehensive, but curious, saying I’d give it my best shot and see how long I’d get. I have enjoyed many of the recipes (with a few not to my taste, but that’s life!), and I was surprised that I wasn’t hungry even though I wasn’t eating meat or eggs. I have also successfully kicked my bad sugar addiction (I’d been eating chocolate/ice cream almost daily during Covid prior to this cleanse). I’m excited to incorporate many of these delicious recipes into my regular rotation, and was also thrilled to learn that I don’t need to eat meat at dinner to feel full. I’ve also loved the nightly almond milk with cinnamon. Thank you for opening my eyes to a new, healthier way of eating!!”
