Eterra Razor Skid Steer Sickle Bar Mower Description
The Eterra Skid Steer Sickle Bar Mower is built to handle tough cutting jobs in ditches, along fence lines, berms, and hedges. With an adjustable cutting angle from 110 degrees upward to 45 degrees downward, it can cut in hard-to-reach places and uneven terrain. When paired with your skid steer arms, it gives up to 17 feet of reach and can cut through vegetation up to 2 inches thick, making it perfect for clearing overgrown areas quickly. The break-away bar protects the mower from damage if it hits rocks, fence posts, or other obstacles, saving you on repair costs. Its non-clogging sickle design keeps the mower running smoothly, even in thick or dense vegetation, reducing downtime. This mower also doesn’t throw debris, making it safer to use around people and in residential areas. It’s low-maintenance and simple to operate, so you can focus on getting the job done without unnecessary hassle.
To operate this cutter at an optimal performance, you need to run it at a hydraulic flow rate of 15 GPM - 20 GPM @ 3000 PSI Rated. If your machine flow is higher, utilize your endcap control to keep your flow below 20 GPM. The mower works fine. I have a Toolcat and I would like the conversion box to be different. It works but I would like it to use one button for up and down. Then the trigger switch to activate the sickle. Other than that I would buy it again.

I've had a series of problems with it including a busted hydraulic hose and I'm still recovering from the delivery and set up challenges.

The unit itself works as advertised. I did loose a hex nut that attaches the cutting bar to the reciprocating motor to the bar and could get no response from you all. I had to find replacements myself. Customer service needs some work given that this is a $10,000 piece of equipment.

Hi Andrew, Thanks for writing a review, and your video is terrific! The video is a good example of a lot of typical cutting. It's important to remember that the blades are the most affordable part of the arm to replace, and so are the bolts. Since they need to be replaced with time anyway, the engineering behind the unit purposefully makes sure that the arm doesn't try to "bite off more than it can chew". If it did, it could cause a lot more serious problems to the Sickle Bar and that's why the blades and bolts may snap if the speed of operation is too fast, or the material volume is too large. There is a lot of force on the attachment and the small sickle bar being that a machine is pushing it forward into material. We appreciate the feedback and hope the full set of blades and bolts we sent you alleviated the issue for you. - Skid Steer Solutions
