Eterra Razor Skid Steer Sickle Bar Mower Description
The Eterra Skid Steer Sickle Bar Mower is built to handle tough cutting jobs in ditches, along fence lines, berms, and hedges. With an adjustable cutting angle from 110 degrees upward to 45 degrees downward, it can cut in hard-to-reach places and uneven terrain. When paired with your skid steer arms, it gives up to 17 feet of reach and can cut through vegetation up to 2 inches thick, making it perfect for clearing overgrown areas quickly. The break-away bar protects the mower from damage if it hits rocks, fence posts, or other obstacles, saving you on repair costs. Its non-clogging sickle design keeps the mower running smoothly, even in thick or dense vegetation, reducing downtime. This mower also doesn’t throw debris, making it safer to use around people and in residential areas. It’s low-maintenance and simple to operate, so you can focus on getting the job done without unnecessary hassle.
To operate this cutter at an optimal performance, you need to run it at a hydraulic flow rate of 15 GPM - 20 GPM @ 3000 PSI Rated. If your machine flow is higher, utilize your endcap control to keep your flow below 20 GPM. The sickle bar works really well. However, the plug and wire on the attachment that powers the solenoid for angle adjustment seems to be to short and has pulled out twice now in about 20 hours of operation. Other than that the attachment works great. I'm trimming roads that are overgrown with mesquite and cedar trees and the teeth don't hold up as well on the mesquites, but it is a harder type of tree.

Visited with Rob a few years ago and got a first hand demo of the 7'Sickle. Ordered one to use on our Snowmobile trail (abandoned rail bed) and have used it for last three years with outstanding results. We run it for three days straight, from sun up to sun down, and cut both a low and a high pass. Have one assistant to occasionally clear MASSIVE amounts of brush that fall on the Loader nad the Sickle preventing forward visibility, and also work together in changing any broken teeth. Got that process down to less than 5 minutes, and we now have the BEST sled trails in northern NY. This has totally solved our problem of getting work crews to go out and cut brush by hand. Trail is 30 miles long, and we cut both sides (60 miles total). It has MORE than paid for itself and I would highly recommend it to any related activities. Just be ready to clean up some serious quantities of tree limbs and brush! About only comment I might add would be to more specifically list compatible guide teeth. Blades are NO problem, but there are a number of guide teeth on the market and, while CLOSE in design, they are not the same. Finally determined specific ones to buy from Herschel Parts and now obtain exact replacements without issue. Great attachment and highly recommended.

Not good so far. Sickle bar won’t go down past horizontal and bar jumps up or down when sickle is first engaged. Working with customer service to resolve, return, or replace.

I finally got the Sickle mounted. I am in The middle of the Kansas floods so I cant really test it out very good. It doesnt work on damp/wet grass. The grass hangs up on the bar and prevents it from cutting. Skid Steer, you need to make the 7ft sickle so it performs in wet environments. I note your 5 ft is rated for these conditions. You can do it, you have the technology!

Hi Blain, First of all thanks for being an active customer of Skid Steer Solutions and leaving a review. We value your input and product knowledge, and we are sorry that the 7ft Sickle did not perform to your standards in the wet environment where you work. We acknowledge this and will take it into account when further developing products. We wish you all the best, Skid Steer Solutions

The sickle mower itself works very well. Cuts clean, cuts heavy material with no trouble. Not impressed with the angle adjustment. Its weird and seemingly over complicated, especially when trying to use vertical. Lots of joints and springs and it moves around a lot. But whats more important is that the mower works very well for shearing of hedges etc.
