“These work as ceiling fans should. Here are my thoughts…. 1) As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. In this instance they have cut costs by relying on plastic instead of metal. 2) when installing the light to the motor I learned it does fit. You have to twist and push to get the plug thru. Don’t worry, it will go. 3) is my light secure on the motor? I don’t know. I guess you screw into onto the shaft but it never bottoms out or tightens. And the screw the tell you to install goes into plastic so done over tighten. Who knows if it will hold. 4) the remote controller that goes inside the canopy hits against the power cord from the motor. I had to tilt the motor and force the controller in. It not moving now. 5) because of the this tight fit the fan does not balance as it should, you have to move it by hand to center and level after it’s mounted. 6) since the light kit fittings are plastic(I’m assuming this) it’s easily knocked out of level. 7) finally, it says it is Siri comparable. Not being a tech person, I thought it would work with HomeKit, it does not. If I knew this, I would have not ordered it. 8) light is bright 9) fan is strong.”

It ensures a long period using time. As well as this ceiling fan can be installed in outdoor areas. 2) It is designed like this. The cover should be twisted to lock the light kit and the motor, like a big screw. 3)&4)&5)&6) It seems that you met some problems when you were installing the ceiling fan. Although it is assembled already now, we suggest you can watch our installation video to ensure everything is installed in the correct way. We're sorry that you might be confused about these points. But Homekit is not supported. Sorry for the confusion. “We did A LOT of research and chose this fan because it is a "smart" fan and so easy to just say "hey Google. turn the fan to a slower speed," or Hey Google, turn off the fan light." And, we really like that it has a separate yellow and white light - most fans are just yellow and they aren't bright enough. And, it's quiet!! And, the price is very competitive. All around - a great fan. In fact, this is our second SmaFan and we would buy another! Highly recommend.”

The Icebreaker uses a 10-speed reversible motor which allows you to change the direction of your fan from downdraft mode during the summer to updraft mode during the winter. Enjoy it!
