“My husband and I booked this trip to spectacular Greece. The weather was wonderful and the overall experience was very positive. My only comments to the negative would be the four day cruise. It was a very old cruise ship with not let much to do however, it was very clean, and the staff was very professional. my only other comment would be that more free time in between the excursions needs to be considered. While it was wonderful, seeing all of the various ruins, my husband and I would have appreciated more free time to stroll about the villages and to sample the food on our own. Our group of 20 were fun and kind. Our tour guide. Gina was very knowledgeable and took extremely good care of us. Gina gave detailed explanations about where we were going and what we would be doing on the excursions every day. She selected wonderful restaurants for dinner where we dined together. Gina escorted us to the airport on our return and ensure that we were all checked in. Our tour bus driver kept us very safe we were never concerned no matter how bad the weather was, and how steep the mountain decline. He seemed very confident in his abilities, and therefore made us feel safe. We did not encounter one negative experience during the whole tour. Overall, it was extremely good , I would definitely travel with smartours in the future”

“We had a very enjoyable time both on the mainland and cruising the islands. The Turkey stop was a cool surprise. I trade patches and both the Greek police and Turkish police were outstanding ambassadors to their countries. The weather was fabulous. One thing we would have liked to see/learn was the history and contributions of the Greek philosophers and specifically how American Greek college life came about and why. We love Smartours and it has been the only tour company we have ever used. It fits our style of traveling.”

“Smart tours offered an in-depth tour of Greece that was the best value for the price. It included many more islands than other options and a number of geographically different land locations. It gave us a true overview of Greece.”

“Great tour, but you must go in knowing the following: You'll be getting up early (6 AM) pretty much every morning You'll be doing a ton of walking, including on steep inclines You'll be visiting a lot of historical sites That all sounds very reasonable for a trip to Greece, but for some reason many of the people in our group were baffled by all three of these things. So if you don't like ancient history, or you don't like walking, probably not the trip for you.”

“We have used Smartours exclusively since 2018. They have a wide selection of excellent tours very reasonably priced. You could not put together one of their tours yourself for less. They are customer friendly and seem very ethical. We recommend them to everyone that asks. We try to go on two of their tours each year.”
