“I went to Smith helmets both mountain and road after a heavy crash. My initial Forefront lasted me about 4 years before I chose to replace it. Great fit, comfort, and gave me more confidence with respect to protection than my pre-crash helmet. My new Forefront 2 helmet has the same quality as my prior Forefront, but the visor is much better and rigid. Looking forward to many great rides! Smith stands behind their products!”
“Love this helmet. I do have a serious issue with the visor. The visor on this helmet is not at all durable. I would suggest selling replacements - preferably with an optional non-fiber based version. A branch hit mine on the trail the other day and it seriously shredded the edge. I didn't realize the visor was composite - it appears to be one step up from paper mache. Less than 2 months old and the visor now it looks like a beater.
I guess I should have left it in the box..... at home.”
