“I have three other Smith helmets. I wear this one on my ebike and downhill. Very good fit and definitely feel like I have really good protection! I had a bad crash on mtb, going almost 20 mph and my pedal hit a rock, I landed head first. I was ok, no black out. I was ok. “I like the overall design, but the padding is extremely minimal and I had to eight little stick on foam pads (from another helmet fit-kit) to make it comfortable.
Also the chin strap never stays where you adjust it..... it creeps loose after a couple rides.
The last issue is that you can't really use any kind of headlamp that uses straps. A small gap between the shell and the honeycomb in strategic locations would be nice.”
