Cheryl, Thank you for your review. Your order was for 6 total pounds of glass, which is not enough to use in most fire pits. Many fire pits use between 20-200lbs depending on the size. You may benefit from using our fire glass calculator here: https://starfiredirect.com/pages/fire-glass-calculator If your fire glass is cracking, there might be a compatibility issue. “The reflective coating really makes this glass pop. Even looks great in the day with just the sun shining on it. The pieces are about the size and shape of Hershey’s Kisses. No reason why these shouldn’t last a lifetime. I’m very pleased with how this looks.”
