How's the Blade?
How are the Handle and Fittings?
I loved the sword, it’s absolutely beautiful. There is one problem though. I spent almost $600 and while almost every part of the sword is done greatly, the saya came bent and twisted. And I understand this may have been from shipping but if that’s the case then the swords should be protected more in shipping. The bend in the sheathe has caused a bend in the blade as well. At first customer service was great but there was a very fast denial of liability, almost to a defensive point. And then as days went by I finally came down the the smallest of agreements, No refund and just send me a new sheathe that is straight and not crooked. It seemed that this was agreed upon but now it has been almost a week and I have heard nothing back. I’m kind of disappointed. The company offers great customization and a very decent quality sword. But the quality control and or customer service seems to lack a bit and does not seem to be consistent. I know of a YouTuber who I speak with personally who reviews these swords and had an issue with theirs as well and informed me that there customer service experience was fast and not only did they get to keep the bad sword but they sent them an entirely new one free of charge. I only wish for the same level of service. Especially after giving half a paycheck for a blade.

Blade is good. Tsukamaki is okay. Saya does rattle a little maybe due to thin blade. Koshira is a little off center. Sword does handle very well.

Since this is my first order from Swordis, I went with the most basic customizable options without any upgrades. Everything is great but I would think that a basic hamon shouldn't cost an extra 50?

I was hesitant to try ordering a custom katana at first but I am mindblown. Several years ago, I tried ordering a custom katana and was quoted about 12-14k with an estimated waiting period of about 6 to 8 months. My order with Swordis ended up being about 7.2k, all with the features I wanted, no holding back. Customer support (Vali) was a joy to work with, spending a lot of time getting my order right and updating me regularly. Thank you for making my dream a reality.

I am in awe of the simplicity of ordering a custom made katana. I went for a standard tamahagane blade but you get to choose everything from the length of the blade, blade construction, blade shape, and so much more. Each option also comes with a short description of what it means and possibly how long it takes if you choose it. Be careful when choosing because everything adds up! Mine came up to about 3200 but it was definitely worth it!
