How's the Blade?
How are the Handle and Fittings?
I want to start off by thanking Vali who helped me choose the design for my custom katana. He was extremely patient in walking me through the different aspects of Japanese swords and even recommending several articles from their blog that was eye opening. I wasn't aware of the blog but Swordis has done a wonderful job of writing articles that are not only very informational, but also easy to understand. My katana took a while to arrive but I was updated regularly on what was happening. When it arrived, it was packed extremely well and the unboxing process is an experience that I will remember for life. The sword is marvelous to behold and the quality is breathtaking. It feels good in my hands, I have yet to try cutting with it since the weather here has been really cold but I have no doubt it will perform very well.

Swayed by my best friend/rival's custom katana haha. Took me months to save up for it but it was worth it. Seeing your dreams made into reality has no words. It will be the most cherished piece in my collection.

Fantastic from start to finish. Whoever created this custom katana builder must have spent an immense amount of time trying to figure it out. Japanese katanas are highly complex, if you delve into it, there are books and books on just one part of the sword. Books that would give you a straight up concussion if it hits you haha. I am very happy with my katana!

My one word summary: SUPERB. Did it cost more than I thought it would? Yes, slightly over my budget. BUT when it arrived, it was an amazing feeling to unbox it and feel it in my hands. Compared to what I have, it is way worth it. The attention to detail on the engravings is astounding, the performance of the sword has taken my breath away. I personally don't know much about the different terminology and all and Vali was very patient at guiding me and explaining to me so I could build the katana I wanted.

Let's just say be it looks or performance, it is perfection from blade tip to sword hilt. I have no doubts about the quality of material used and the craftsmanship is great.

I have several nihonto and honestly, there is no difference in terms of performance. The balance and feel of the custom katana is even better as I get to choose everything from blade to hilt. I would love to see the addition of being able to design our own tsuba, fuchi, and kashira. Now that, would truly be mindblowing!

I ordered a custom katana after seeing their ad on facebook. No lies or disappointment, I am beyond ecstatic with every square inch of this sword. Besides looking good, I've tried practice cutting and the blade is extremely sharp. It feels like an extension of myself!

I was hesitant on spending more than expected on a custom katana but I have no regrets. Instead of having multiple low end swords, I highly recommend you save up for it and make the katana of your dreams come true!
