Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“Loved this tentrr, two of us and a pup stayed in late October. Communication with Patty was prompt and we were able to meet her while we were leaving- the monsoon kept us from staying our last night, but we will be back! Perfect foliage colors, very secluded site, yet you can still see the hosts home from the edge of the field. As soon as we arrived we hiked up the trail right from the campsite. 1.2 miles to Ball Mountain with a gorgeous view of Lake Winnipesaukee (a steady hike, with markers the entire way, we easily made it up in a leisurely 40 minutes with our 3-legged dog). We appreciated the outhouse, especially during the downpours; as well as the permanent ez-up covering the picnic table which kept us so dry during the day we were able to do a puzzle! The site in front of the tent is large enough for lawn games like bocce ball or can jam, and you can also use the entire field. Patty and Jim have firewood available for purchase $5/bundle but we didn't end up needing more than we brought due to the rainstorm. The outdoor shower has actual hot water which was amazing, although we didn't use it. The stars at night were so vivid, we wish the clouds didn't roll in so we could have enjoyed them longer. Staying in late October it was pretty cold at night and although we have experience with wood stoves, we couldn't get the flue to stay open. Luckily we were prepared with 30° sleeping bags and lots of layers. Spotty cell service for Verizon, but we did get a few radio stations to come in on our tiny portable radio. Only about a 15min drive from Hannaford in case you forgot anything!”
“Nicely maintained place with too many activities to do. There is a trail to witness awesome sun rise. Extra space to sit besides campfire. The lake is the best place to have a swim.
Would recommend it to anybody who wants to have a good time.”
“I can't recommend this camp site enough. There is a man made pond on property with a float to jump off of and a variety of hiking trails that lead to amazing views right from the camp site. There is also a large field for kids to play in. The campsite itself is very private. The property is well maintained and the owners are helpful. My family had the best time and will definitely be back!”
“Lava Rock is an amazing place to camp and unwind. The trails from the very private campsite lead to delightful mountain hikes and the pond on the property is simply amazing. The thought and care put into this campsite are evident at every turn. We would highly recommend this destination.”
