“Barkley's Resort was perfect. There were plenty of trails along the creek, all with views of waterfalls. The host, David, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful; He even came out to help with the wood stove. The humans and the dog in our party had a wonderful experience and hope to return.”
“Let's face it, 4 nights was not enough! Had to add another one. Barkley's Resort was the perfect getaway. David met us at the gate & gave us a personal tour of the highlights of the property. He hooked us up with some special extras & treated us like family. The tent was located in a old growth hemlock forest with giant black birches & lush, green, cushiony moss, right on the beautiful Bushkill Creek. We had many adventures playing in the continuous series of falls & deepwater pools. COLD!!!! The dogs enjoyed the freedom of having the camp to themselves, as did we...no noise, no radios, no unwanted distractions. We even spent a misty day just hanging out, cooking on the fire & swimming in our underwear/pjs..all day! We had an owl chorus every morning, listened to the amazingly complex sounds of the river talking & chortling, & heard coyotes at night. This was the cushiest camping trip, with double bunk beds made up with lovely sheets & comforters & pretty pillows hand delivered for the Adirondack chairs. Yes, you can't go wrong spending time @ Barkley's Resort hosted by the warm & caring David. He is passionate about his piece of heaven and you too will become so. Be careful, you might not want to leave.”
“Barkley's Resort was amazing!!! The host David took time to show us around his land, and generously provided extra wood, which was very thoughtful as the weather turned cold this weekend. The natural beauty of the campsite along Bushkill Creek is unmatched, with several beautiful waterfalls within feet of the campsite. You couldn't find a campsite in a better location. Also within walking distance was a PA state forest hiking trail to Stairway Lake, which offered mountain views, Delaware river views, and lake views. I highly recommend the entire experience!!!”

David went above and beyond to provide plenty of amenities and was incredibly hospitable, making sure that we had everything we needed. Great for a romantic weekend getaway.”
“This was our first tentrr experiece and Barkley’s Resort site blew our expectations out of the water! David was very responsive to all my questions, met us at the site to show us the ropes and was very nice and super accommodating! The site itself was secluded and beautiful. We went fishing at stairway lake, hiked up the creek from our site and played in the waterfalls and just enjoyed the giant fire pit. It was such a fantastic weekend! The only thing I would recommend is to make sure to wear sturdy shoes as much of the site is rocky!!”
