Tentrr is your private camping experience. We connect adventurers like you with private landowners who want to share their land so you can experience new places.
“This is the most remote site we have ever been to! Extremely beautiful, quiet and peaceful. It was a great spot with an awesome view and we enjoyed being able to drive right to the site. Definitely bring a 4WD SUV, it is a bit of a ride in. Make sure to bring everything you want (bedding, cookware, water). You can’t beat this location”
“We had such a magical weekend here! The views simply can't be beat and the location is so remote. It was a really unique experience and so much fun. I'm grateful I read reviews ahead of time to bring our own water. And I did miss the turn to get the campsite at first. It's a tiny little sign that we missed. But truly a magical weekend I won't soon forget!”
“When we arrived it was quite a ways off the road and because there isn't much service, it's easy to get miss the driveway area unless you are really looking. We ended up driving back to town to get some extra supplies and to look at the direction again before dark.
Inside the tent, the mattress had a huge rip in the middle, a little scary, but it wasn't punctured. I sent an email about it (no easy contact) and while we were out a fitted mattress cover for a twin size was on our Tentrr porch (the wrong size). No communication from the host either about the water, about the bed, nothing for 3 days.
The spot is really cute, it's set up along the forest at the top of a small mountain. There were lots of blackberries and plenty of privacy. We drove along side farm lands for a while to get there.
Thank goodness we went back to town and grabbed some wood and water, because unlike the other Tentrr's we have stayed in, there was not a pile for us to use and a water container not filled. (On the last day, I found out that you have to drive a few miles, once you leave the mountainside to fill a water jug yourself at the host property. We spent a ton of money buying wood too.
Every night there were coyotes at our door. I was terrified. They howled near the site. We did not leave any food about either.
Upon leaving, we saw that you should dispose your trash at the host property. We arrived at the host house and could not find the trash or anyone to ask about the trash situation. So we drove with it A WHILE until we reached a place with a dumpster.
We enjoyed so many other Tentrr experiences, this one has so much potential, but they were not accommodating, responsive and it was too much money comparatively to other Tentrr's with far little to offer.”
“I was there at the end of September in around 3 weeks after a negative review for this site. Step by step:
1) Stove oven is inside a tent and works great. As for advice: I will need two bundles of wood per night for it and will have to recharge it every 4hrs
2) Views are awesome - great time middle of fall, it's so colorful.
3) Owner is very nice. The first time I dropped him a message with question 3 weeks before an actual trip, he answered the same day. We were in touch before the trip, he gave me all information required. He came to the site when I came here and asked me if I need something or maybe some information and explained where is the closest gas station, etc.
4) It's not hard to find the route, just follow instructions, open an image of the map, and drive there, no chances to miss the turn if you see the map. I had dry weather and easily get there with my AWD sedan. Maybe after the rain, you will need something higher. 4WD/AWD required
5) I didn't have a mobile network connection last 30 minutes of driving. But on the top I had T-Mobile LTE, Verizon should also be fine
6) It was clean enough. Not sparkling clean but fine. Please take your trash with you and clean up after yourselves - and every site will be clean. The owner can't wash the site after you.
7) No extras were here, I mean there was no even water on the site, I was fine because brought everything with me - wood, enough water, lanterns. Just don't expect anything except basics.”
