“This is easily the best campsite I’ve ever been to. In a beautiful and bright open clearing surrounded by trees and mountains, with a lovely stream nearby for playing in - my kids loved it! John and AC are lovely and have provided everything you could want at the site, so even makes packing slightly easier. Highly recommended.”
“AC and John were perfect hosts - communicative, friendly and warm while providing privacy and a clean and well-tended Tentrr property for our short family vacation. They've thought of everything, adding a tarped cover over the tent and extending out over the deck providing a dry outdoor space in the case of rain, the wooden outhouse structure and thoughtful items such as firewood and fire-starters (first bundle of wood is free and easy to access add'l bundles available for $10 each), s'mores ingredients, a few small lanterns, a great cooler and 4 chairs around the firepit.
The large, private guest property is perfect for frisbee tossing, fetch with the pup and nighttime star gazing.
All of the above would be sufficient for this 5 star review but then a short pleasant walk behind the tent brings you to the private, babbling stream that is yours for your stay. It was heaven and a truly unique experience. The water was crystal clear clean and invigoratingly cold. My wife, 12 year old daughter and I got into the water a number of times during our 48 hour stay. WIth some water shoes, it was fun, refreshing and a true bonus. During our stay, the water depth at its deepest was about 3 feet, perfect for a cooling dip!
Some reviewers have mentioned auto noise from the nearby road. Indeed, we heard the passing cars, but there weren't many, they didn't bother us and the dominant sound experience was the babbling stream and chirping birds.

“This campsite is nothing short of incredible - the photos truly do not do it justice. It’s nestled on a grassy field but still offers trees for shade, and a very short, beautiful walk down manicured paths to a gorgeous swimming hole (and natural clay bar!) in the Esopus Creek. John, A.C., Kate + family were phenomenal, generous and gracious hosts and have thoughtful additions throughout the site - lawn games like ladder ball and cornhole, matches, fire starters and little odds and ends that you may have forgotten. The loo is in its own outhouse enclosure which provided privacy. Access to the site was very easy in my sedan. A couple of things to note - you do hear a bit of road noise, nothing crazy but it’s definitely there. You can’t hear a thing from down by the creek though! Highly recommend bringing floats and water shoes for the creek. The Queen memory foam mattresses were amazingly comfortable and the tent was in perfect condition, and was spacious and clean. We cannot wait to come back - 10/10 would recommend. Thank you so much again!”
