The site has not many reviews yet. The site was amazing. Pure nature and amenities. John was friendly and helpful. I am definitely coming back.

John and Bonnie were amazing hosts! The campsite was immaculate and had so many amenities like fire pit, charcoal and gas grills, and even plates & silverware! We loved being so close to the river and having the opportunity to pick wild raspberries and blackberries! 100% will be back soon!

Second time visiting and it was twice as nice! The little upgrades (tikki torches, bathtub, etc.) are a wonderfully welcomed additions. 4th of July week was an exciting bang! The river was welcoming and nature was fully present (chipmunks, fish, turkeys, hawks, crawfish, moles, deer, and even in passing a small bear)! As before, John and Bonnie were wonderful hosts and my husband and I can not wait to return!

My family needed a weekend away from it all. For some r&r and John and Bonnies site provides that and more. This site was spectacular! Truly a slice of heaven on earth. The views alone were all we needed but John and Bonnie provided much more. The raised platform was large enough to put our 6 and 4 man tent on it together. The bunk house was great to store all of things. And the sun shower was handy as well. And the propane gas burners for cooking. The out house was clean and cute. It was a little farther of a walk than we would have liked but we need the exercise anyway! The best part was it’s a private site. We we’re the only campers there. John and Bonnie live just up the hill from the site if we needed anything. During our stay we seen many herrings and 2 minks. And kayakers braving the rapids. I’d recommend this site to anyone needing to get away from it all. To just be one with nature and enjoy all it’s beauty it has to offer. It’s great for couples and families. And can bring your pups too! Just keep them leashed. I’d bring some tubes! There’s a natural lazy river that our kids greatly loved! They’d go down and back over and over again. There’s quite a current so we’d to stay to the right side and they will stop just before the natural “bath area” we would definitely like to return in the future :) ~Kristy C.

This truly is a little slice of heaven. Last year I came with my sister in law and we set up a tent on the great platform provided. This year, I brought my cat Elton and thought it’d be better for him if we crashed in the little mini (maybe 5x8 or 9?)cabin on the site. Even if you’re using a tent, having that enclosed mini cabin Is great for gear and food. It has a small cot and screened in windows so I was comfortable leaving him if I wanted to wander down the beautiful rock landscape along the water. There are small natural pools and little mini jacuzzis worn into these huge slabs of rock right at the edge of the tiny rapids. Sunbathing, swimming and just soaking was the best. If you have a hammock, bring it. There are a few perfect trees just on the edge of the river in the shade, it’s glorious. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a sun shower (I think it’s called) that has a real bathtub n everything, a gas powered stovetop, silverware, dishes, an emergency toilet bucket, picnic table, fire pit and plenty of firewood to collect in the immediate area and to top it off, there’s John and Bonnie! The best hosts ever, truly great people! 4 days wasn’t enough, I really never wanted to leave and absolutely plan on making this a regular thing. Also, There are takeout options and gas stations that have food within 10 min (great for me when my cooler malfunctioned and most of my food went bad!) I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. Book it!

I've camped in many different places and Moosetrax is the closest experience reminiscent of the Sequoias (CA). The river is refreshing and if you're lucky you'll see kayakers braving the rapids (which make the perfect sound to woo you to sleep at night)! The area sun and shade ratio is just right too! The nearby rocks are perfect for sunning after a bath in the natural tub within the river. The falls are within hiking distance and the trails are clean. Bonnie and John are the most gracious hosts and the outhouse, well let's just say it's definitely five star status! The set up of Moosetrax is well thought out and is a camper's dream come true! I look forward to visiting regularly!

John and Bonnie were such a delight! Working with them made our stay even better. The campsite is a little slice of heaven on Earth and I am so grateful they decided to share their land with us. We set up hammocks right on the water (one included at the site) and could have rocked for hours. We explored the little falls and natural baths moose river had to offer. The water is so clean and refreshing. The views are breathtaking. The camp had a great bunker to store things, an awesome outhouse ( a short walk from camp), and a cozy little area with a fire pit and picnic table right by the water. I am so grateful I had the chance to experience Moosetrax, and we will definitely be coming back! Just what I needed to get away and reset for a few days. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality John and Bonnie!!
