“My family and I were very disappointed in this particular site as it was nothing as it appeared online. When we arrived, the tent was absolutely disgusting inside, the mattress had dirt and droppings on it from animals because the zipper on the tent had been broken for a while. When we asked the manager of the park about this, and if he could fix it, he mentioned he had a brand new tent in storage and they had decided just not to put it up. The fire pit and cooking gratet on top, where it was expected that we would cook was absolutely rusted and filled with water bugs and leaves. Thankfully, we are avid campers and hikers and had a stove and cooking equipment and all of the things . Again, the Rangers knew we were coming as I was in constant contact with them through email and this site was absolutely disgusting upon arrival. We ended up leaving the very next morning. The only reason we did not leave that very night is because we had unpacked everything and had driven 3 hours to get there. When I mentioned to the manager that we would be checking out in the wee hours of the morning due to the conditions of the camp and filing a claim with Tentrr, he just nodded his head as though this was not the first time he had had complaints. There was a big sign that said "this way to the beach". My family and I walked forever through a small very rooted marshy trail and never found the beach. When I asked the manager about this he laughed and said " ya, this is very deceiving... people come here to go swimming and there's nowhere to go swimming, there is no beach, and there are no trails except that little marshy walk that you just had which I know is a nasty walk." They seemed very matter of fact and unaplogetic.. I read the reviews on this site before I went and I honestly don't know who wrote them? This place was absolutely disgusting and we wasted a lot of time over our vacation weekend, money, and time off from work just to find we had to turn around and come home. The manager mentioned he hadn't had anyone there all summer but the reviews on this site say they are from one month ago 3 weeks ago Etc this does not make sense to me. I absolutely do not recommend this site it is disgusting and there is absolutely nowhere to go swimming no good trails for hiking and the staff could care less. I don't even want to give it one star I wish there was a zero to give it.Photos of how we found this site included.

Hey there, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've gotten in touch with the host at this particular site and addressed some of your concerns. They are aware of them and moving forward with future bookings, will be more mindful of the items you mentioned.

“It was a beautiful place to stay on the water. It was nice having the bunk too. There wasn’t a lot of info about what size the bunks were so we brought twin sized sheets but it ended up being a a full/queen but we made it work. It was a sweet place to camp but was definitely pricey for a campsite.”
“Beautiful spot and easy to get to for car camping, what a lovely scene. The campsite was very easy to navigate, the park was actually very quiet despite being a beautiful Saturday, we were thankful to have the area mostly to ourselves. Very kind host and easy check in process.”
“Peaceful and accessible. Family with 2 kids, 6 & 9. We loved how private the cite is, with the bathroom close by. The beach was very beautiful and clean. We swam for hours and were able to enjoy the floaters we brought along. A fire pit with a grill plate and cabinet is provided. The tent was a good size for 5! Make sure to bring linens but also a blanket or comforter if you want to stay warm in the morning. Will definitely use the company again!”
