“Loved getting a break away for a few days here! I feel like over the last 10 years i have been going to the Hudson valley it keeps getting more and more expensive for a quick night or two away, and this is my new favorite alternative. If you’re comfortable using a bucket in a little hut as a bathroom for a few days (or a porta potty at the many trails!), there’s no reason not to give this a try. I disagree that this is glamping, but it’s definitely lazy person camping and I’m all for that. Can I put a tent up? Yeah. Do I want to? Not really. The mattress was comfortable, the tent being elevated off the ground and on a sturdy platform gave me less concern about inquisitive animals, and while you can head a little road noise, it’s still far more relaxing than the business of much of the tri state area, wirh a view. Host was attentive and helpful, the area is gorgeous, and most important to me, it’s dog friendly, which also seems to be less and less lately. My pup and I will be back!”
“I booked this super last minute and it was such a great stay! Everyone was super helpful and the location was a nice escape. Will definitely be back.”
“Beautiful and peaceful spot. Jim was very responsive and helpful when we were having a hard time finding the location. The Woodstove and propane heater were a godsend during cold nights (we were there in early April). It was a lovely trip!”
“This site is beautiful, right by the waterfall and along a creek, and wonderfully setup. The fire and cooking area are well setup with a prep table, and while there are 2 camp sites, there's plenty of privacy. This site is also a very easy drive from the city, and less than 5 minutes from the Empire State Trail for biking or hiking!
Bring pillows and sheets, and a stove or grill unless your plan is to cook everything on the fire and you'll have a great time!”
