“These pork tamales were a birthday gift for my son, who lives in Seattle. (I live on Cape Cod.) But when he was a boy we lived in Tesuque, just north of Santa Fe. He loved the tamales, which arrived two days before his birthday, thanks to some beyond-the-call-of-duty expediting by someone at the Hatch store. Many thanks. “Excellent tamales! The product arrived frozen solid even though we now live in Florida. These tamales are authentic. The pork filling amount very adequate with excellent taste. Personally I like more spicy heat than most. Extra heat can always be added with a sauce. The cornmeal exterior had good texture and flavor. Unlike numerous grocery store varieties it did not make up the majority of the tamale. These tamales will compete with any restaurant tamales I have tried. The pricing includes shipping which is expensive due to insulation and dry ice. If you live in Florida and crave authentic New Mexico cuisine, the shipping is the price you will have to pay for a superior product.”

“I have not tried the tamales yet as I am having trouble getting pinto beans to go with the tamales. Question do you have hatch red chili available.”

Hi Ted, I'm afraid we do not carry a Roasted Red. We do sell Fresh Red Chile season during the month of October. We also carry a red sauce that you may enjoy :) Thanks, Taylor
