Back in the 80's Honda created the legend known as the Fireblade and the legend is still as strong as ever.
I have owned no less than three of the beasts and each one has been perfect,
The handling is second to none, reliability is fantastic and looks are amazing.
I am no spring chicken and could comfortably spend all day riding them without stopping between fuel stops.
Depending on your riding style you can get anywhere between 90 and 170 miles to a tankful,. A massive difference, indeed, but thats the beauty of a Fireblade. You can ride it hard or easy and both are enjoyable.
As for insurance, i was paying a touch over £270 a year fully comprhensive, by comparison, a small family hatchback of modest engine size would be more to insure.
My most recent Fireblade was a 2014 repsol replica and I am sure I will be first in the queue when the eagerly awaited 2017 Blade is released.
