It doesn't have all the electronic gizmo's like traction control different rider modes but in the road in the real world it's as good as anything on the market. I love my Firnlade and it always puts a huge smile on my face

Well what can I say about the 2005 Fireblade that hasn't already been said, The bike is phenomenal, Handles exceptionally well and feels even lighter in the bends than its baby brother the 600RR which I also owned. The bike has got plenty of poke and the engines are bullet proof providing you spend that little bit extra of good quality oil. Some of the 03 to 07 Blades have an thirst for oil so topping up regularly is a must however fortunately for myself my bike doesnt use a drop so no problem there. For the money you can pick them up the bike far outweighs cost factor as you have a machine that will stick with most of the next generation of superbikes for a fraction of the cost. The only slight downside for me is the throttle response is not as instant as the newer versions which can cost you valuable time if on the track. The riding position is aggressive due to the underseat exhaust making the tail stand up a lot higher than its more modern counterpart so you do tend to always be in race mode which in that position feels somewhat like you are in a fighter jet ready for action all the time which for some people will prove uncomfortable but that said once you open it up that uncomfortable feeling soon melts away thanks to a massive flood of adrenaline. Build quality 10/10 Styling 10/10 spares if needed based on cost 10/10 Comfort 8/10 Handling 9/10 Overall a solid 9/10 for me and would recommend the RR5 fireblade over all others.

Where do i start i chose this bike as my first litre bike although it wasn't my first option i originally set my heart on a ZX10R but it just wasn't the bike for me. as i walked around the showroom throwing all my toys out the pram i spotted the 2010 fire blade in the HRC colour scheme so i dried my eyes and walked over to it finally plucking up the courage to sit on her. As i cocked my leg over i knew she was the right bike for me. i sat on it pretending i was playing a moto gp arcade race game. After the sales guy looked at me a bit weird he asked if i wanted to take it on a test ride. i knew i was going to but the bike before i rode a mile on it i can genuinely say it was one of the happiest moments of my life taking this bike out for the first time and everyday i have rode it since. i would highly recommend this bike but everyone is different dont bother reading all the reviews just go and ride it if you like it buy it. buying a bike has become so hard over the last 10 years a simple bad review of a bike can sway so many decisions if you are serious about buying this bike stop reading this review and go buy it. you will not regret it.

Great performance with no electronic gimmicks, handles, brakes and goes with usual Honda effectiveness. Finish is poor by Honda's standards, furring nuts and bolts and the norm. Starts on the button every time and has loads of power, consistently returns 53 to 56MPG giving a tank range of 150 to 160 before the light comes on.
