This is one of my new favorites. I've enjoyed it both warmed (on a below freezing camping night) and slightly chilled. It's very versatile and exactly where I want the flavor to be. Slightly sweet and has a good body while finishing very clean.

We really enjoyed this sake. The body is light, but it has a surprising depth of flavor beneath that. The finish is both earthy and sweet, and full of umami. While it was very good at room temperature, we found it to be even better slightly warmed up. The warmth brought out even more depth to the flavor and lengthened the finish. All around, this is a "whale-ey" good sake, and definitely worth a try!! (Okay, forgive me for that...)

Thank you for your review, Robert! We are glad you enjoyed both room temp and warm temp. We are happy you were able to imagine the whale to the depth of the sake!

It's pretty good, and for the price I'd definitely recommend it. Lovely to have in the first 'new' box. Especially warm this one tastes quite good, but when drinking it cold I found it a tad harsher than I'd like. Still recommended especially if you want a versatile sake for reasonable price.

Such an interesting dry, flavor profile. Not fruit notes, but almost a blend of familiar sake tastes. Share a bottle on it's own or pair with stronger, seasoned meats.
