Suigei is lovely if you like a dry sake. I prefer something sweeter and more fruity. Love the bottle though!

It's been way too long since I've had good quality saké. This was a breath of much needed fresh air. When room temp or chilled it is indeed acidic with lovely rice notes and a clean finish. When served warm the alcohol comes out in full force and has that signature taste that always reminds me of warm butter. 酒好きだいよ!

I bought this nihonshu thinking it was pretty dry at a +6.5. It disappointed. The worst nihonshu I’ve ever had was the IMA oyster pairing sake, and the suigei had a very similar flavor - although much more mild. While the mildness made was a positive when it came to the sweet flavor, it was a negative on the body. I was expecting much more than the dry manly sake that was advertised. This is not a sake that will make your balls drop. Probably the opposite. If you like dry and manly - stick with the northern prefectures. This Shikoku brew was a let down.

It came in the monthly sake box I subscribe. This versatile sake which is great for food pairing is so far my favorite.
