Tozai “Snow Maiden” Reviews

4.5 Rating 41 Reviews
So, there I was, at the airport. I ordered the prettiest bottle of sake they had, which happened to be the Tozai Snow Maiden. Now, I was not an experienced drinker, and so I poured myself a glass. And another. And another. And by the end I was absolutely sloshed. It was just really tasty. So, as I was trashed off my ass, I went to the airport massage parlor or whatever and had my first (and best) massage of my life. That was a good day.

This is the best sake I have had yet. The flavor was sweet and subtle, and the taste of alcohol was almost unnoticeable, making for a very smooth drink and flavor. I will order this again.

Enjoyable sake. I enjoyed the thicker body of this nigori. Not too sweet and a good bargain. The radish notes are interesting in a good way. I still prefer "Dreamy Clouds" to this one, but Tozai is less expensive by about $15 which may be important to some buyers. I won't order again but I wouldn't hesitate to order in a restaurant (which I have found Tozai is more available in restaurants like ramen shops).
