Linebacker Squat Landmine Attachment Reviews

4.4 Rating 60 Reviews
Read Titan Fitness Reviews

This Landmine attachment is ideal for squatting without the fear of balancing a bar on your shoulders. The 7" to 11" squat pads provide a firm and stable feel while performing squats and deadlifts. The rotating handles have a spread of 19" and allow many types of pulling, pushing, and rotational exercises while keeping the wrists in a safe, neutral position. Installation is seamless, slide and tighten over your Olympic barbell, load up on your choice of Olympic bumper plates, and start pushing your workout to the next level. Bolster your strength-training routine by adding linebacker squats, v-style squats, hack squats, overhead presses, and more!
NOTE: Titan recommends resting the product on the ground to load plates before pairing with the landmine stand. This will prevent spinning during the plate-loading process.

I've been waiting for weeks for my Linebacker to show up. After opening the box I was very impressed with the weight and sturdiness of the materials. It was a pretty basic design and relatively easy to put together. After putting it together the first thing I noticed was the challenge in putting the weight plates on the pegs. It was really easy to load the plates while the linebacker was on the floor, but then the challenge was how to get it up to use it. Fortunately for me I had previously purchased the landmine stand; which made things considerably easier. However, it also posed a new issue regarding loading the plates on the pegs. Its difficult to load one side without the whole device spinning. Its not difficult if you are loading 10 or or 25lb plates and have long arms like myself. If you are going heavy you are going to need two people to load the plates on the pegs so it doesn't spin and the plates fall off. I eventually settled on loading the bar first, then sliding on the linebacker and then adding a couple of additional light plates on the pegs; if my wife wasn't around to assist me. That was my only real complaint about the device. It is comfortable, appears strong and safe. I do have one very minor issue and that is the Titan logo plate. This isn't the first item I have purchased from Titan. However, my previous items have metal Titan logo plates that are riveted in. The one that came on the linebacker was kind of a glued on flimsy strip that came off as soon as I pulled it out of the box. However, doesn't effect the performance and I plan to get plenty of use from this linebacker.

This is an excellent piece of equipment. I have knee issues so this has enable me to return to squats. I also do shrugs, cleans and presses. The only reasons I did not give this a 5 are (a) Cannot find collars that fit. The posts are smaller that olympic size so collars slide off. Titan should produce a collar that fits. (b) The spinning issue. Presently my son and I load together, however without secure collars that fit I cannot load alone for squats. Even given those issues, well worth the investment.

So I have an issue with my lower back (stenosis, arthritis, and I have a condition where I (rarely, but after a lot of heavy activity) have severe back spasms that require I get injections in the muscles to loosen then back up) as well as extremely tight hamstrings. Doing a traditional squat with the long bar on top of my traps does not work for my body. This attachment works for my body. I'm squatting big again. I love it. I am so happy this attachment was created. This saved my workouts! Negatives: Most every barbell I can find has that "snap" ability and when I get very heavy on this lift, my bar starts to bow and snap a little when I move too fast. If you lift heavy, this is almost impossible to use without the Landmine Stand (or an alternative if you have one).

This one is way better than the V1; much narrower, and can handle a lot more weight. Overall I've been very impressed!

Actually, not for me. It was a Christmas Gift. But I understand. It is very good!

Although, a well constructed piece of equipments, it is difficult to load plates on side attachments while on the accompanied stand. I was told to load the unit on the ground, then transfer to the stand. Unit still has tendency to spin which does not translate well to a smooth workout sequence for some exercises that require weight plate changes. Also, the loading pins will not secure weight plates without special collars that fit the 'unique' size of the slightly smaller pins. The small tweaks required to fix these shortcomings would go far to make this a real 'go to' training item, giving it more flexibility and increasing a trainee's exercise syllabus. Given it's current restrictions, and for my desired uses, it has fallen short of my expectations. But, for others who simply desire it for it's somewhat limited applications, it may be fine. I have other Titan equipment, that I have found much more to my liking, I'm afraid. Still feel that Titan is a good company, and provides a good 'bang for the buck' in the other equipment that I have purchase from them.
