These are okay. I bought them hoping and wishing however I am dissatisfied. I used in. Rogue Cronos Magnum III replacing a set of Tung Sol KT120s (which are hard to get due to the war). I was okay with less power as my Aria 948s are very efficient. But this is a step backwards for sure. The roll off I expected is there but not in a good way as I had hoped. If anyone wants a cryo set of KT77s let me know.

These tubes are well balanced, detailed, nuanced, and they possess great clarity with a seductive quality that draws you into the music. I’ve tried various el 34’s, Kt 120’s, kt 150’s, and Gold Lion kt 88’s. They all sound unique and I like them all to varying degrees. I’d have to say overall I like the kt77’s the best with the kt88’s coming in a close second. The Gold Lions , both the kt 77’s and kt 88’s , just seem to have slightly greater clarity than other tubes I’ve tried. I can hear deeper into the soundstage with more apparent detail and ambient retrieval than with the other tubes. The difference is not night and day, but it is noticeable, which makes the listening experience more satisfying. I highly recommend the kt77’s!
