“I a set of the stock KT88 that came with the amp, and replaced them with the Gold Lion's and I love them! They sounded more open than the stock tubes. I'm sure there is no science to back this up, but they even sounded like they had a tad more headroom and power. Subtle, but after A/B testing, I kept going back to them for this reason. I've read that they can sound slightly constrained, but I didn't get that at all. Given they sit out in the open, it doesn't hurt that they look beautiful as well! I also bought them feeling a high level of confidence that Kevin and the team tested these, and only sell quality products that they hand select. I wont buy tubes from anyone else.”

“I’ve had a few different brands of KT88s in my Quicksilver V4s over the years. JJs, NOS Golden Dragon, and the Gold Lion has been my favorite so far. Extended highs, rich midrange, and solid lows. And they last!”
