I purchased this cartridge in combination with the Pro-Ject 6 PerspeX SB turntable and Pro-Ject DS3 Phono Box. This is my first dive into a true analog rig so I have nothing really to compare it too. Overall, once the cartridge was broken in, I was totally blow away by the amount of detail, soundstage, and finesse the ML provided. I am glad I went straight to a low output MC as my expecatations were very high to begin with coming from a high end digital setup. Let's just say, this rig is so good I haven't used my digital source since! The overall smoothness and balance is unmatched. Upscale did a fantastic job helping me select not only the turntable but the cartridge as well. They are very knowledgable about the products they sell and seem to have a high regard when it comes to the Hana brand. Highly recommneded!

Terrific cartridge and excellent value for money. Easiest way for me to describe is that things sound more analog - less hard edges than previous cart - but still very detailed and the bass extends very low. Excellent service from Upscale as usual - thanks Sean Paul and Bill!

Great cartridge. 2nd Hana...upgraded from a 4 year old Hana SL. The SL is good cartridge and the M was a good upgrade.

Its really nice. Upgraded from an Exact2 on a Rega P6. The Exact was getting some hours on it and was starting to just sound a little off - enough so I stared shopping... I was a bit hesitant to pair a Hana with the RB 303 tonearm - but setting it up myself was no big deal. I am not using spacers. It is a bit heavier so the weight is all the way back to get to a tracking force of 2.0. Looks nice. If had to describe the Hana ML - I would say very revealing. Bass is lighter than the Exact. That's not a bad thing on my system per se as some mixes could lean bass heavy. But the ML does have less punch on the down low side - which seems to be evening out a bit with some break in (10 - 15 hours now). All in seems to be an upgrade and happy with it.

A tremendous improvement over the Benz Micro cartridge I was using on my Star Sapphire turntable.

Pleasant surprise to the sound quality improvement compared to my previous MM cartridge.
