“I owned two record cleaners before purchasing the Kirmuss. Neither were ultrasonic cleaners, but they got the job done by removing surface dirt. The Kirmuss is on a whole other level, being able to restore the sonics in a record by cleaning out dirt deeply embedded in the groves and removing buildup from previous cleaners. Yes it is time-consuming and you need to follow the instructions, but it is well worth it and the best upgrade I'm made to my system in a long time.”

“Kirmus Ultrasonic Cleaner Upscale Audio Edition. I received it for Christmas from my lovely wife, Using the Kirmus Ultrasonic Cleaner is a learning experience. Every record is different depending on how dirty it is. The first record I cleaned was Miles Davis UHQR, like previous review I heard more noise and pops, I called Kirmus and Mr Kirmus called me back. After he told me how to clean new records in two minute intervals and final 5 minute rise the sound was AMAZING !!!!! Dont give up its a learning experience.”

“When I first received it. I cleaned about 10 records. The I cleaned the new UHQR of Steely Dan. I played the record. It had little ticks throughout the disc. I sent it back and received a new one. Cleaned it again and had the same results. A few days later I received the new Bob Marley UHQR from analog productions. This time I cleaned it on my Vpi 16.5 record cleaner. The record was dead quiet..I feel like the Kirmuss was hurting my records. I don't plan on using it.”

“Amazing product that I'm so glad I was finally able to track down. It's a very solid, well-built machine that seems like it will last. The cleaner is easy to use, but don't be fooled, it's still a lot of work and time-consuming to clean a record. It's one of those things where you want to set aside a day because it is recommended to not leave the water/solution in the machine overnight. You want to clean as many as you can in a day to be economical or else you'll be buying distilled water by the vat-load. I've had a chance to clean around 8-10 albums now, 1 album twice (my worst one) and the rest just once and the results are very noticeable! An original AC/DC - Back In Black album I have had a lot of "snap, crackle, pop" and it cleaned up to the point where it was completely eliminated. So, so far I am very happy with the results. As I said before you will go through quite a bit of distilled water depending on how many records you plan on cleaning, but distilled water is cheap (0.97 cents for 4L). Also, you will require isopropyl 70% (no additives) and the supplied surfactant which I hope is easy to find when the time comes that I need more.”

“This is a great product. The price is very reasonable and the results are outstanding if you follow the instructions. I like that I can clean three records at once. It may be a bit of work to get a record properly cleaned, but it's worth the effort. I plan to just take my time and go through my record collection bit by bit.”
