“I chose the S/812 for its accuracy, speed, and sublety. Other subs can outperform the S/812 in terms of absolute extension and playing low; however, the REL performs exceptionally well with music, especially when speed and nuance are valued above other factors.”

“The system: Dynaudio Contour 60s, Primaluna Evo 100 DAC, Primaluna Evo 400 preamp and monoblocks. I did not think I needed subwoofers but I heard they improve the sound stage. I would say they complete the sound stage. I have the right amount of bass when I need it. When there isn't much bass content in the music, the sound stage is more complete. One REL S812 improved the sound, but when the second S812 arrived, I realized I had made the right decision. Thanks to Joel for demonstrating these components to me.”

“Great addition and should be required with every Primal Luna EVO 400 Amp and Pre Amp purchase. It totally changed my listening experience and added a new dimension to the sound stage in my listening room. Highly recommended.”

“I have been pleased with the midrange of my Harbeth SHL5 monitors but knew they were lacking adequate bass. Rather than upgrading to full-range towers, I decided to try adding a stereo pair of S/812's. The result has been monumental. In a smaller 240 sq. ft. room with the crossover set at 75 and the volume set at a mere 3 clicks, they blend seamlessly. You don't know what you're missing until you hear it. A+ bang for the buck.”

“Subwoofer came packaged well and it is truly everything I’ve always wanted. I highly recommend. Note it is very large for a 12 inch sub. Blends better than anything I’ve ever heard with my main speakers!”
