“This phono stage is as advertised!! Dead silent superb midrange and clear highs. Incredible build and made in the USA by the way. There’s even an IEC wire going into the 48 volt power supply. Ditch the stock plug to a quality cable for extra length and even better sound quantity. Thank you uncle Kevin for your insightful video that made up my mind to purchase this fantastic phono stage. “My first phono stage has transformed my system making records sound better than digital again. Huge value piece of kit and built like it will last a lifetime. Cool, that's its universal voltage. “I'll give the product 5 stars, and also agree with another review that some RCA cords won't work as they don't separate wide enough to accommodate the "out" plugs. I had a cheap set of cords I used while waiting on a delivery of Pangea cords. For the Sutherland unit itself, it was very simple to unscrew the top and set the gain and loading per various articles I found on google for my cartridge (Hana EL). It would be a great idea for Upscale Audio to include suggestions for the 2 settings to match the cartridge. I know some of these are subjective, but the consensus of users for a "good place to start" sounds fantastic to my ears. Ultimately, the sound quality I'm getting from this analog setup is gorgeous, and so despite some setup hurdles, once it's done, it's a beauty.”
