“Hi,
The Vessi weekend are super comfortable. I haven't tried them yet outside. I originally ordered a size 8 (which is my size and the same size I ordered my first vessi) but the weekend ones were to big and to wide. Had to size down to 7, which does the job.
I like the material and the fact that they are waterproof. The style is a bit too round in the front. You would need to adjust that a bit and make them more stylish.
Can't wait to try them in the snow.
thanks”
Hi Eli,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about your pair of Vessis, we'll definitely forward this to the product team and see if we can incorporate it in our future designs. Enjoy your pair!
“I loved the style, but they didn't fit as I expected. Most of my runners are size 7, so I ordered my Weekend pair in that size. Unfortunately, they are a bit big for me. The ankle opening is too wide, but you can adjust it. However, the shoes slightly deform on the top when you tighten the laces. If there were half sizes, I would have exchanged my pair for a 6.5 size.
I think this pair is excellent for those who look for a wider shoe.
Overall, they feel comfortable so far.”
Hi Aida,
There may be difference in sizing since we used a different kind of material in this collection so the structural design will make the difference when compared to other collections.
But, thank you for your feedback, we hope this is something we can improve in our future designs!
“I backed this company when it first appeared on Kickstarter with the original cityscapes. As the company progressed and came up with different styles that improved upon the very few short comings the original pair had, it was never a hard decision to purchase the new styles they came up with. I’ve used my vessi’s for everything, working a 12 hour shift in the hospital, working out in the gym, on outdoor runs and even hiking up and down mountains. The only “short coming” this company ever really had was the fact that they didn’t have a pair with flat outsoles for when I’d rip around the city on my longboard or skateboard. Just when I thought they couldn’t get any better they came out with the sneaker. They combined their impact cushioning insoles with a flat stable outsole and created a comfy, stylish and functional sneaker. They managed to become major competitors in yet another area of the market right out of the gate. I got my first pair less than a week ago and have already boarded more than 75km’s in them. I was so impressed I ended up ordering a pair in every color. They have truly made a shoe for every adventure. From running up mountains to surfing on pavement exploring the city. Regardless of what adventure I decide to go on, I officially have a pair of vessi’s for every activity and scenario (except formal occasions). The best part is they are a local Vancouver based company that provides excellent customer service to back an already excellent product. It’s been amazing to witness the growth of this company and they have for sure gained a lifetime customer.”
Hey Kim,
Thank you so much for the continued support over the years! We really do appreciate the kind feedback, and that we were able to put together an amazing skate sneaker for you to wear while you tear up the town. Definitely do not hesitate to reach out and provide us with any feedback, our product team will definitely appreciate it.
Thank you again, have fun surfing, skating, hiking and keeping your feet dry in every occasion :)
“I love the waterproof technology. It is absolutely perfect for Vancouver and allow me to live my best life. They are light and comfortable, they are versatile. One thing I’ve noticed is that over time with wear and tear the slip on capability makes them a bit loose. I think the new weekend shoes fix this problem with the separate pull tab.”
Hi Siddharth,
Oh, that's so great to hear! We're super glad you're living your best life with Vessi!
Yes, our Weekend collections will be our most slip proof design thanks to the full outsole rubber tread. This means that while the Weekend line is more slip proof than the Everyday or Cityscape collection, it's also a bit heavier as a trade off. Even with that however, they're still definitely lighter that similar court shoe designs!
