I was initially looking for an entry level rower and settled a ProForm model but it just didnt seem like it was on par in quality and worksmanship as compared to the benchmark, the Concept 2. I did some digging and realized that the Vulcan Rower is the one of the only models that is equal in build quality and durability. The mini computer on the Vulcan leaves a bit to be desired but it does the job.

Very impressed overall....rower arrived well packaged and damage free. Assembly was pretty straightforward. Mating the front and rear of the unit was a bit tricky, but didn’t take long. As mentioned in other reviews, the digital display is functional, but would be right at home on an 80’s Nautilus bike. That said, the build quality is excellent and feels far sturdier than a Concept rower. The rowing motion is very smooth and pulls a bit better than the Concept as well. The handle is larger and comfortable, however it can get a bit slippery with sweaty hands due to the smooth plastic. We have been building a home gym and have ordered a lot of equipment from Vulcan. ALL of it is top tier and we are very happy with the equipment. We are planning on ordering more as it comes available...highly recommend this rower and Vulcan Strength

Over all happy with my Vulcan Scull Rower purchase. The rower seems really sturdy and strong. The rower pull and ergonomics are smooth and comfortable. For the price and availability for this unprecedented time, the Vulcan Scull Rower is a great buy for anyone building a home gym. It gets 4/5 stars because there was a bit of fit and finish quality issues when assembling. It took longer than it should to assemble because there was a bend in one of the lower leg assemblies which made it hard to install the screws. Also, assembling the front and back part with the lynch pin was awkward. Other than that it seems like it should suit and last my needs for a quality rower for my home gym. Thank you Vulcan!

I was waiting on the concept 2 rower to be available and came across the Vulcan. This is just as good if not better and a little cheaper. Super fast shipping and in stock. Overall good quality materials. I was able to put it together myself within an hour. I'm a fan!

Scull rower is built like a tank! I’ve used Concept 2 rowers & the Scull is built much better. The only area the Scull rower could be improved is the Screen Module.

Needing a rower for at home use, I did some reserch and settled on the Scull. Great purchase! I have used a Concept rower in my pay gum but prefer the Scull. Beam seems more sturdy. Box arrived well packaged on a wood pallet and delivered by Fedex freight. Love my rower!!

I am used to a Concept2 rower, but didn't have the patience to be able to wait to order and receive it. I saw a review on here that said "if you're looking for something similar to a C2, stop debating it and buy the vulcan". That person was right. It is very similar to the concept 2. The vulcan rower is a high quality piece of equipment! It is sturdy, smooth and not loud. The seat is good, the handles and foot pedals are great. The resistance adjustment is easy and just like the concept 2. Because you're pulling a chain, I know this rower will stand the test of time. I would highly recommend purchasing this rower. The only downfall is the monitor here. It seems much lower in quality than the rest of the rower. It is not as straightforward to use as the C2. Additionally, while you can select a number of meters you want to row and count down to 0, I haven't been able to find a way to row and have the meters count upward - if you're rowing for time. It does give you calories and # of strokes, but I like to see how many meters I rowed. Not a huge deal to me since I'm just rowing in my basement to get some exercise in. But I thought that was a downfall worth mentioning.
