The Vulcan Standard 28.5 mm Olympic Barbell The Vulcan Standard is a finely crafted Olympic bar made in the USA. This bar is precision manufactured with very tight tolerances. Very minimal movement between the shaft and sleeve translates to a very solid feeling bar. Dual Oilite self-lubricating bronze bushings provide very smooth rotation and great spin. With a medium amount of whip typical for any bar below 205k tensile strength, this bar features medium sharp knurling. The knurling is exceptional for a mix of powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and high repetition lifting for some CrossFit workouts. “I only have dumbbells at home and missed barbell lifting. I read a lot of reviews and this bar seemed like it would do the trick. I haven’t lifted it yet with weights because I I’m waiting for them to be delivered separately. Looks and feels great. The packaging was incredible. It took me forty minutes to get it out of the tube. Not a scratch on it. Fast delivery and excellent customer service help.”

“I've now been using this as my go to for 3.5 years and have 0 complaints. It's paired with Alpha bumpers and has been terrific for CrossFit, oly, and normal lifting. It's been in the garage gym the entire time and with minimum maintenance still performs as new. Don't worry that it doesn't say Rogue, it's a terrific bar.”

“The Vulcan standard is an outstanding bar for the price. I bought this after getting a nonfunctional ohio bar from the R company. It feels perfect in the hand and spins smoothly. There are a few thin spots in the black zinc, but who cares. It's meant to be used, not hung on a wall. The only bad thing I can think of is to have it delivered on your off day. It is packaged so well, it's a full workload just to get it out of the tube.”

“I am no expert, but every gymrat I asked talked up the Vulcan Standard barbell. I was not disappointed with my purchase. Before you pull the trigger on that Amazon purchase, check to see whether the product is in use at any commercial gyms. No? What kind of bearings are in the sleeves? Not listed? Where was the barbell manufactured? Hmmm. Choose the right barbell and you will only have to buy it once.”

“I don’t claim to be a barbell connoisseur but this BB is beautiful and works well. Delivery was faster than anticipated. The BB was well packaged & had no scratches or dents. It’s a great addition to our home gym.”
