Very nice cabinet and well built. It is not made from cheap wood. It did come with some broken pieces that hold the glass in the door. The nails popped out durning the shipping. My guess is the wood swelled from humidity and they loosened up. Customer service was great when I called while the driver was at my house. They said I can refuse the delivery or they would give me a nice credit so I could find a cabinet maker to fix. I ended up fixing myself which wasn’t too bad. I wish Wine Enthusiasts would open the box before they ship it out to inspect the cabinet and make sure it is good. This way they can fix it and repack it better. I can tell it was still in the original box which was packaged and shipped from India. Overall I’m Very happy it worked out because it is a great cabinet and goes well with my Bourbon collection.

The Spirits Vault is beautiful. However, although the cabinet did not appear to be damaged, I noticed the bottom locking mechanism broke off along with a chuck of wood. I was able to glue the piece of wood and WE customer service was able to replace the metal bracket that was broken. Other complaints: the doors did not align to the hole where the locking mechanism sinks into, so I needed to drill out the hole to accommodate. Not difficult, but for how much this unit costs and especially how much I paid for shipping ($300), I would’ve expected better craftsmanship. Lastly, the LED lights on the bottom section were not working, so WE customer support replaced those as well (thank you!). However, it turned out after taking apart and removing all the wiring, splicing, then testing, it turned out that the original LEDs were fine, but the factory-spliced wiring was backwards. All I needed to do was cross-wire them and voila! Again- very disappointed with the quality control on this item.

Bought this item over a year ago. Lights didn’t work properly and several blemishes. I made numerous called trying to reach a solution. They never resolved my issues. Way to expensive for the quality and the poor service. I’ll never buy again firm WE.

Ordered this cabinet after speaking with Mike, who was very nice and assured me that these newer units didn't have the problems that previous owners are commenting about in these posts. I was very excited to see the delivery team come with it, however I immediately noticed the pegs were missing. This was an easy and cheap fix, but still something you should expect for such an expensive item. It wasn't until the delivery guys left that I also noticed that the top cabinets locking mechanism wasn't flush with the hole in the wood made for the lock to go into, so I had to use a dremel to shave off a little more of the wood. Again, not the biggest deal to fix, but you can see this cabinet was made in a hurry or not thoroughly inspected by people who know what they're doing. Lastly, the doors of the bottom shelves didn't line up and it was basically impossible to close and lock them together. Another easy fix by screwing in a stopper for the left door. I'm still very happy with it after these quick fixes, it's beautiful and displays all of my bottles perfectly. This thing can fit 100+ bottles easily. Just keep in mind that if you aren't a "handy" person, you'll likely need to pay someone to align/fix everything to make it right.

Door doesn’t close. One of the lights works when it wants. One of the shelves is cracked. AND the white glove delivery what a joke! Almost a week later and I still have not heard back about my claim.

Overall I really love my Spirits Vault. It's a great looking piece of furniture and it's going to really pull the flex space in my new home together. I put all my favorite special bottles, tiki mugs, and cigars in it The delivery experience was a bit tough. The first delivery arrived broken. So it was a bit of a wait for the redelivery. Wine Enthusiast did have good customer service though out the process. I was confused on how to turn on the lights, but learned that you just need to touch the brass "buttons" in the side. One of them seems to lack sensitivity and takes multiple presses to work. I am concerned that this will be an issue over time. That would bring my rating down to a 3 star review.
