“Excellent craftsmanship. Solid, sturdy, and very attractive. I wouldn't consider it decorative so wouldn't use it as a showpiece. However, in a wine cellar, several together look very high-end.Having a second pair of hands for the first few shelves is a plus. Other than a bit awkward at first, the assembly was very easy.”

“Just finished assembling eight of these kits in natural color for my cellar. This is a truly outstanding product: (1) the quality of wood is extremely good and also very consistent (across 8 cartons no less) - not a SINGLE bad or broken piece either out of the box or during installation; (2) assembly could not possibly be easier (all the instructions are on a single 8.5x11 page, there are only about 5 steps to put the whole thing together (time to assemble and mount to wall 8 racks = 10 hours); (3) these racks are VERY sturdy when assembled, especially when you interconnect.None of the things that I worried could go wrong went wrong - the wood was consistent and perfect and didn't break, the job was easy and the end product is very practical and very attractive. I am SO glad I read all the reviews and particularly, that I read the reviews on some of the more "custom" and more expensive racks here and settled with this one because I experienced none of the problems widely reported with the other racking systems.If I can offer any tips: (1) the racking shelves are to be inserted FROM THE TOP using the grooves to guide them down from top to bottom, not snapped in diagonally which is POSSIBLE but could break the wood (I point this out because if there is any part of the written instructions which is not clear, this is it); (2) definitely see other reviews re. combining multiple racks, the dimensions will be different because you use one middle upright for the rack both on the left and right; what that other review doesn't say is that you can ALSO play with the ends, using either the inner or outer threading holes to achieve slight variations in width from 32-35" (compressing down to 32" will get rid of one row of capacity) - this was helpful to me for purposes of "fine tuning" to my cellar's dimensions.Final remark, I choked up on the shipping ($480 for 8 racks) - but honestly, these are HUGE (three large carttons per rack) and probably that is what they spent. At least it came promptly!Great product - I am extremely happy and highly recommend.”

“This is a great unit. It was easy to put together (but it is worth scanning the instructions before hand). It's a nice looking unit for a cellar or possibly a kitchen and stands sturdily. The only drawback is that it is really designed for the typical bottle only. If you try to store magnums or other wide diameter bottles then you either have to leave a space in between, which halves your capacity, or you have to stagger them a bit front and back and allow that they will not sit snugly in place. I guess it would be a nice if they had an option of the regular shelf or a shelf with wider-spacing so you could mix and match to your needs. But this is a great unit and I would highly recommend it.”

“Product is good - shipping and service were tough for us. We purchased 8 units weighing ~500 pounds total in mahogany, and arrived on 2 pallets. For a residence, this was tough for us to move around but the delivery person was kind enough to put the pallets in our garage. Took us about 4+ hours to assemble - I don't think 1 person could do it on their own. Unfortunately we ended up realizing a box was missing, which contained 8 shelves. Customer service was closed for a holiday, and so we got the final box delivered to us about a week later.I would recommend the racks themselves, but be sure you can handle the quantity that you purchase in terms of delivery and assembly.”

“This is a good solid rack and a very good buy for the money. The dark mahogany finish looks more like dark brown paint than a stain which is a little disappointing. If I had it to do over I would have purchased the light unpainted version and saved the $10.”
