After a hot summer it went from 85 one day to 45/48 for a high the next 3days. So I got the old wood burning stove up and running again after having taken it out of the kitchen to work on the modification. The old parlor heater, maybe 70 to 80 years old had the little mica windows that had mostly deteriorated & I had stuffed with foil. So instead of replacing them I ground down the hight spots and put in the ceramic glass with the seal. The glass was cut just right & I was able to attach it in place using the existing holes through the cast door. This is the 3rd day, coldest high temp recorded this early in Sept. according to the weather man, & so far it looks to be working & I like seeing the flame through the glass. thank you:)
