“The way in which every single issue is explored and explained by Carol Ann Duffy is extraordinary. Eventhough I am Spanish I can understand It and follow It very Well. “Duffy is a fascinating and engaging teacher, she delivers the lessons in a simple and easy to understand way, yet there is so much detail and depth packed into every class. I like how she reads and shares her own poems and other poets' poems and tells us interesting observations and details of the process of writing. I like her instructions on keeping a notebook and how to keep notes; how to think, see and listen like a poet. This course is opening up my mind and is giving me so much to think about and to practice. I also like the visual aesthetic of the setting - the poet-teacher sitting in the comfortable armchair in the library/study, with her books and a few beautiful furnishings and items. The colors and the interior design styling create a setting that is very pleasing to look at.”
