“I'm loving this course with Ken Follett - he's my favourite author and I really respect his writing.
I've seen him speaking at Peterborough cathedral a number of years ago and knew he was an excellent speaker and so I knew this course would be great. I'm currently in the planning and research stages of my first novel and this course so far, has provided me with a really clear overview of what I need to do going forward.
The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I've not yet finished it.
Other than that - a really good course! Thanks Ken.”

“Ken gives very useful tips, and I love that he shares his process. We learn from a young author, his sweet granddaughter on how to query, market etc, and his historian. Ken seems super practical, and so self disciplined it is amazing, truly an inspiration. Also he made me laugh so much all throughout with his delightful humour (my favourite is when he took great pains to research how to make a bomb when he realised he had to ditch it, lest he would be teaching teenagers a bad practice!) I took extensive notes and will now review his notes. I so admire his tenacity, experience and extensive research to make a historical novel feel so accurate down to the price of licorace in the middle age. I have yet to read his work because it is not so much my genre, but I will now go pick up The Pillars of Earth. How can I not? best tip: Starting with a question for a fiction is a brilliant idea. Thank you Ken.”

“Insightful and helpful knowledge from Ken. It felt like he was in the room with me, discussing writing. I loved how he communicated his tips and tricks clearly and concisely. It was also great for him to include his author granddaughter in some of the videos to cover some of the contemporary topics.”
