“The course was exactly what I needed it to be. Jojo gives such a clear explanation and covers all the necessary topics regarding how to write a compelling love story. After listening to the course, and making a LOT of notes, I have realized I need to change and cut most of my current manuscript. But that's okay. If I implement the things I have learned in the course, I am convinced my manuscript will be much better than it was before. Hopefully worthy of sharing with the world one day. “Jojo speaks from the heart and gives us her experience with so much insight and with such ease, i think she is my favorite of all the authors I have taken courses from in the last year with you! it was really useful to hear from her publisher and her agent, so thank you Jojo for that! Jojo inspires all throughout and gives tips which resonate well with the challenges of writing, while reminding us to have fun and enjoy the process. Also, she says from the start that love stories are not tantamount to romance novels, but any kind of love which is part of our humanity. “For 20 years I have wanted to write. I have sat down on countless occasions and penned the start of a story and a week later that draft is filed in the bin and I remain frustrated and demoralised.
As someone who needs order and a set of rules, as well as pretty new stationery, this course was refreshing and incredibly motivating. I have finally stopped procrastinating and started writing short stories and have begun to build characters that I plan to bring together in a book. I can't tell you how grateful I am to have this resource and from such an amazing and accomplished writer.”
