I loved her suggestion of 'guarding your time' (which was spot on for me as an author who is working on a new project but letting distractions derail me) and her reminder that letting a story 'marinate' is part of writing. “The course was exactly what I needed it to be. Jojo gives such a clear explanation and covers all the necessary topics regarding how to write a compelling love story. After listening to the course, and making a LOT of notes, I have realized I need to change and cut most of my current manuscript. But that's okay. If I implement the things I have learned in the course, I am convinced my manuscript will be much better than it was before. Hopefully worthy of sharing with the world one day. “Jojo speaks from the heart and gives us her experience with so much insight and with such ease, i think she is my favorite of all the authors I have taken courses from in the last year with you! it was really useful to hear from her publisher and her agent, so thank you Jojo for that! Jojo inspires all throughout and gives tips which resonate well with the challenges of writing, while reminding us to have fun and enjoy the process. Also, she says from the start that love stories are not tantamount to romance novels, but any kind of love which is part of our humanity.
