I've been using gopro8 until recently. Once i ride, I even carried 4 extra batteries and an powerbank just in case, and there was a hassle of having to erase the video every time. The video quality is definitely good with gopro. But if you consider the overall things (convenience, weight, playtime...), buy fly12 now. If you spend too much time worrying, you're the only one who loses your safety.”
“These are still overpriced but not as bad as they used to be. Previously, when Cycliq was out of stock, I was sufficiently motivated to get a suitable replacement 3D printed. I had to guess at the material so I used different colors to track the performance of each material I tried. I would have kept going down that route except Cycliq finally made these more available*and* more affordable.
I have the original Cycliq mount which allows me to put a Garmin on the top and, via the adapter, I hang the Fly12 upside down below.”
“I ride a velomobile. I had to get creative on how to mount the cycliq cameras. Ideally it would be cool to have a shark fin or whale tale type device with the cameras hidden inisde. For now The universal adapter are doing just fine.”
