“After completing a charity ride last weekend (100 miles) the battery did hold up to advertised time 7+ hours. Footage nice & clear. Only complaint is bracket looks like it will not last long & on website you're charging £65 + £10 postage for an out front bracket!”
“I've had this camera for more than a year and it leaves my previous GoPro9 in the dust. Battery gives me 7 hours plus, video quality is fantastic and have used video footage successfully to lodge a dangerous close pass event with NSW Police. I love the way it will "protect" a five minute segment around a fall or crash but overwrite non-protected video once it fills up the Micro SD card. My previous GoPro9 required manual formatting of the SD card once filled before it could be used again, a real pain if you are out riding! This is the best front facing camera for cyclists by far!”
“When running the light on high it shorten the battery life if you are out on a 50 mile ride. Other than that the camera works perfectly clear picture.”
“I absolutely love my Fly12 Sport! I bought it for the safety of having a blinking front light, and to record nutball drivers, but I've also been capturing fun little video clips of my riding buddies and random wild animal encounters. It would be nice if the video footage were digitally stabilized - that's the only feature I feel it's missing. Regardless, I'll still give it a 5-star rating.”
“The Fly12 is a great camera for cycling. It performs as advertised and it is packaged well with solid mounting. Its long and narrow form is perfect for bicycle handlebars. The battery life is excellent. The settings are easy to change using either a phone or PC.
There are a few things I would like to see changed: 1) The rear display uses valuable battery power. It is completely useless while riding because it cannot be seen, so it should be turned off after a minute or two after power on, or after pressing the back button. 2) It would be nice to have an option for a distinctive audible alert when changing the light modes. 3) The display cannot be seen while riding, but the red LED is visible. It would be nice if the LED can show battery level via duty cycle and/or color. 4) The PC software is not very good in terms of displaying ride information from Strava. I use Garmin VERB instead as the CycliqPlus app plasters the video with a large Cycliq banner and I see no way to display simple, unobtrusive statistics. It would be nice if the app provided options for simple numeric telemetry data from Strava.”
