So far I have not had to use it, I hope to never use it. But there is peace-of-mind knowing that if there is a n incident I will have video evidence. It is easy to setup and start.

The camera has given me the peace of mind to know that my commutes are now recorded and will assist in any insurance related incidents. It’s easy to operate and the captured footage is crystal clear. 4 stars, would have been 5 if only it interfaced with the cycliq app as per the Fly6 pro, which is viewable directly from the app but sadly the Fly12 footage can only be viewed on a laptop.

Big improvement over the Fly12CE (prior unit). Size is nicely smaller. Battery life is much improved and software seems more reliable. Only gripe is the asinine reliance on yet another proprietary mount. Should have adopted the Garmin qtr turn standard mount.

Great camera and good light. I wish that I was able to control the device from my Garmin computer though - may a firmware update Cycliq?

Great features and video, the audible alerts could be at a much more higher level

I like the quality of the footage and the number of flash modes that the light has, very sturdy build. Easy to charge and with the light on low brightness settings, you can get close to 7 hours use before needing a charge. Only criticism is the lack of variety of mounts. While it does have an option to mount the Fly 12 under a bike computer mount using an action camera adapter, there isn't an option for mounting the Fly 12 on top of a computer mount. I ride a gravel bike and a bar bag is basically a permanent fixture on my handle bars which means that I can't underling the Fly. Using the supplied bar mount meant that the Fly 12 sat back compared to the brake hoods and my phone mounted on a quadlock mount. I got around this by sanding down the action cam mounting, drilling and countersinking some holes and screwing the modified mount to a forward Garmin mount. If an adapter was available to screw into a Garmin type mount or a forward Fly12 mount was available, it would be a better product on top of its quality build.
