“Surprised how easy the Fly12 is to use. The software to change settings, view footage, and make short action clips for Strava intuitive. Up and running in no time. Battery life good enough for my longer rides (longest ride so far four hours and it had plenty left). Minus one star for crappy optics on the headlight. You sort of have to mount it level or tilting slightly downwards to get the good video capture. But mounting it level or tilting slightly downwards can blind oncoming trail users in the dark if you have it on high setting. And it's not the brightest. But I think this was a conscious design decision to extend battery life. What I've done for night riding is to use a light on top that goes where the Garmin normally goes (the Fly12 is mounted underneath the Garmin mount). You can get various adaptors for lights to screw into the Garmin or some lights come like that (e.g. the Towild lights). All in all, the light is a lot better and a lot easier to use than I had expected. Love that their app can overlay live Strava stats (speed, grade, etc.,) onto the video for super pro look. I just went on a 4.45 hr ride (without light function) and the battery was still at 50% after the ride.
I was happy enough with the Fly12 Sport that I have since purchased the rear-facing Fly6.”

I would still rather have a bigger unit to gain more battery life as I need to carry battery packs with me on longer rides and mess around with trying to charge while riding.
