“So much better than the previous model I own. Not a fan though of proprietary mounting system. Owning 4 bikes I want to use camera on makes it potentially very expensive”
“I had a nasty crash 3 years ago, a truck driving me off the road. Now I ride with cameras front and back to ensure I have proof of what happens. The Fly12 Sport is a solid upgrade from the previous version. I get 4.5 hrs of run time with the daytime blinking light on and using 2k. That's up from 1.5 hrs with a GoPro 9. I have only one gripe: the mount. I mounted it below my computer with a GoPro mount. However, that requires using the quick-release adapter. The adapter implies it is easy to remove the Fly12, but when tethered, that's quite a hassle. And without a tether, I'm afraid I'd lose the Fly12 in a crash. So now I have 3m USB-C cable to charge it on the bike. It works, but I wish the battery would be removable. In the scheme of things it is definitely NOT a dealbreaker. This is the only dashcam that actually works for cyclists! Buy one, and a Fly6 for the back.”
“Fly12 does an excellent job, particularly the function that stills the video. I use it on my bike and, when I think of it, as a dashcam. I am waiting now for the next version of the taillight.”
