“I love my new backpack! I cannot express enough how pleased I am with it! The color is beautiful, and the fabric feels so sturdy. I know this is a bag that will stand the test of time. I purchased this bag (mostly) for work. With the convenient design and positioning of the numerous pockets, it is so easy to pack, organize, and find everything I need for my day.”
“I used it for the first time yesterday. I like the idea that Idon'thave the loose adjustment straps flapping around for me (or others) to trip over. The pack rest better on my back so less lower back pain. I'm over 70. My pack is usually full so the old pack sagged down, and I usually had a sore back after a couple of days of use. I'm glad I bought it.”
“It is really amazing, I even threw away my handbag. The small version is a real TARDIS, so much fits in there... And the weight is balanced in a manner youdon'teven notice you carry a water bottle around. The material is high quality from fabric to zip. Though I was skeptical in the beginning as it is rather pricy, Idon'tregret my purchase and this bag was definitely worth waiting for❤️.”
“I love my new backpack (I checked the tracking page multiple times a day lol). I was so pleased with the craft and intention put into all the features. I love the color and durability of the backpack and can't wait to take it on adventures, outings, etc. That said, there were a couple things that would have pushed me to the edges of my satisfaction.
The pockets:
- the side pocket (not the water/wine bottle pocket) feels quite small. I can barely get my keys and wallet in there. I guess it would be good for lip balms and mayyybe hand sanitizer? I had wanted to use it for things I reach for often (like my wallet), since It's so convenient while wearing the backpack. But oh well.
- the wine bottle pocket feels tight as well - maybe mine is a little defective? The top part of the pocket becomes quite narrow, I can't imagine trying to fit a wine bottle in there at all.
- top pocket is also quite small. I wish it was more roomy, but then again, since It's meant for sunglasses, maybe it doesn't have to be?
So why the 5 stars??? Because I do love it - I do I do! I love the style, the material, and ESPECIALLY the sustainability and positive economic and social impact of the backpack and the company. It is a gorgeous work of art, from the drawing board to the sourcing to the production to the use of it.
Thank you for a beautiful product and an even more beautiful and powerful intention for good in the world.”
“I am completely satisfied with this bag!! I ordered the larger size in charcoal. (I'm 5-7 140#s). I've received a couple compliments on it already and love showing off all the pockets. I travel often so its nice to have a carry on backback that holds all my essentials plus food. I teach brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and can even fold my gi in it. I love it so much I share the link with with anyone I think would love it aswell. Great design. I also ordered the matching cord organizer which helps keep things neat amd accessible. Holds so much but does not look bulky. Really ups your outfit, makes you feel more organized and professional, because you are now! Now that you ordered the Day Owel!”
“So glad to have the original from Kickstarter for one reason, and that’s the side handle. It turns the backpack into a professional backpack briefcase and it’s wonderful. Padding in the back is great, and just to give you an idea on room I added a padded insert to the main compartment to carry my full frame dslr, an extra lens or external flash (depending on needs), mini tripod head and flat mount, and iPad Pro in the rear pocket, three extra batteries on the side along with with charger and clicker for camera, hand sanitizer and masks like crazy (it’s 2020 guys), phone in the front along with notebook and pens, business cards and other bits in the top (sometimes it’s candy). I’ve also used it to pack for two days of travel with a camera and trail mix. Not for the faint of heart. Bottom line is it’s roomy.”
“Grey, smaller. It was a little out of my price range, but i wanted to support the cause. I'm going to get the larger one, too. It's worth every penny. I use the top and side handles way more than i thought i would. and i didn't think the bottle holder was a big deal, bc i never used the stretchy net one on my old pack. I use this one ALL THE TIME. maybe bc you can't tell I'm toting water? It's totally protected? idk, but i love it. Padded laptap section - peace of mind. Well thought out and designed pack.”
