This is VERY hot. Use sparingly. I was a bit concerned about what I'd use this one because I found the ginger flavor very bold, but man oh man does it make anything Asia-based taste AMAZING. Any curry dish, salmon bowl or the like just get wow. And not going to lie, that slight numbing from the Sichuan Pepper corn is an excellent side effect.

A true 9/10 heat, but very tasty. Good with stir fry and the like. Mix a tiny bit with some soy sauce and rice vinegar to get an amazing dipping sauce for sushi.

All of the flavors from each ingredient are there and they hit you along the way. Great flavors. The heat is exceptional! Intense mouth burn ^_^

I've ordered it once, and this is the bashitzanizzle of a sauce. You need little to oomph your dish into new heights! My concern is, ordering it now, would I get the sept 2019 batch or the new, supposedly back to normal, batch?

I recently hosted an event based on the Hot Ones challenge. 6 competitors and 11 sauces(bonus XXX hot ones #11). I am reviewing my line up with feedback from myself and 5 others. This sauce was my #9. Taste at first was pretty good but pretty quickly turned to an off flavor. After seeing reviews of off tastes for sauces bottled from late September, I noticed my bottle was from early October. So that may have contributed to weird taste. As for heat, it built up a bit but no one had issues with it. Even the so called heat wussies of the group, did not find this anything more than pretty spicy. Flavour - 3 of 5 Heat - 5 of 10

The one in the photo appears like a bright yellow green and the one I got was pure brown. There was quite a lot of oil separation which did go away with some shaking. My bottle is from batch 42 (oct 1st), does it differentiate this much usually? I would expect a little more consistency from a sauce this expensive, I really wanted to love this sauce but I can’t help but feel a little cheated of it’s full potential.

Honestly, I don't think this was intended. The sauce was much darker than the one in the picture, and it is kinda brown-ish, not remotely green. I got #41 batch, and it was not hot at all. I tasted 9/10 heat and that's not how it is. The taste is pretty strong that it doesn't go with everything, and I could understand that for extremely hot sauces, but this one wasn't hot at all.

I ended up in the Sept 26th batch, #40. It's red as other commenters have noted, rather than the green, so my review may be off from what you get. Numbing flavors definitely dampen the full heat and let you really get those floral touches. Great on chicken or mixed in with anything with a more chinese flair for extra kick.
