“This was a great hot sauce, but the flavor was just a little off for me. It was a great sauce for enchiladas we made one time, but personally I struggled to find anything else I could really pair it with. I had a friend who absolutely loved it though, so I ended up giving it to them.”

“This is now without a doubt my absolute favorite hot sauce ever! The only complaint I have is availability. Its very difficult/expensive to have it shipped internationally. Besides that its easily the most perfectly balanced hot sauce I have ever enjoyed!”

“The only reason I didn't give this one star is simply because the proceeds go to supporting wildlife causes which I'm 1,000% in favor of, and kudos to "Team Heatonist" therein. I'm also confident you can find somebody who knows how to make a hot sauce and does the same. These folks don't. It's missing any discernible flavor and at this "Heat Level", nothing in this sauce made up for that experience, nor does it affect my rating of this. I love MANY of the "low-to-nearly no heat" sauces offered that have unique and rich flavours. My advice to anyone is to avoid this one and please DO NOT EVER include it in a monthly subscription again.”

I’m so sorry this sauce wasn’t your cup of tea. We find it really sings on turkey wraps and breakfast sausages. Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com

“I’m normally a medium/hot sauce guy. But from the uber hot sauces, this is my favorite. One of the few I made it all the way through. So good.”

“Don't get me wrong, this isn't Da Bomb level bad taste, but it isn't as flavorful as others. That said, if you want to be able to make any dish spicier with just a few drops, this is it.”

“Literally means, "lose souls" en Spanish, but I feel amazing after eating this. So much in fact, I found myself upon first bite begging for salvation, but ended up taking bigger, multiple bites regardless of the heat, because it is such an amazing sauce! Really clears your sinuses! I will be ordering more for sure. I have purchased around 30 different hot sauces in the last year, and this is my top 3 for sure. Not too thick, and I can see the ingredients clearly, like a thicker tobasco for you newbs out there, lol. Goes so well with any Mexican food, especially chimichangas, or blend this into sour cream and use as a dip.”

“I was drawn to this because it had no vinegar and was an 8/10 on the heat index. I had tried some ghost pepper based sauces so thought this would be a good intro into the “hotter” sauces. I think I made a good choice. First the flavor profile is great. That’s important to me. Then the heat - holy sh*^. To be fair, when you take it straight, no chaser, it’s always going to hit harder. It wasn’t necessarily the intensity of the heat, it’s that it kept coming in waves and even 10 minutes after. That’s awesome. So all in all I’ve been very happy with this stuff. Be warned though, if you like “mild,” this is NOT for you. I think the 8/10 rating is pretty accurate.”
