Nice smokey flavour, but waaaay too oily as a condiment.

This was the first sauce from the Hot Ones Season 15 set I finished. I couldn't stop using this sauce. While I think this sauce really favors being used as a dipping sauce for dumplings or just in any tasty Asian food, it's great in everything. I can't recommend it enough.

Annoying to have to mix it every time and comes out a bit oily but the flavor makes up for it. So damn good on everything. Will buy again.

I left a 2-star review on this sauce previously, and after some feedback from Heatonist and the Cantina Royal Instagram account, I feel like the review was unjust. I'll share my new found experience with you, hopefully it can help somebody. If not - sorry for wasting your time :) First and foremost: When you use this sauce, SHAKE the bottle like your life depends on it! The first time I tried it, I shook it up a bit but not nearly enough. The amount of shaking makes a massive difference. Secondly, I used the sauce as condiment on deep fried chicken the first time around, and it didn't taste particularly well to me. I've yet to establish if this is due to the fact that I didn't shake the bottle well enough or if it's just not very well suited as condiment. However, I have now used it as a marinade for chicken and I think it works fabulously. I applied a generous amount of sauce, salt, pepper and a little bit of chili powder, on the uncooked chicken and gave it a brush to apply an even coating on the entire piece. I proceeded to fry them a bit on high heat to brown them and get a nice crust. Once they were beginning to look done, I put a bit of butter on the pan and tossed them around in it, and then put them in the oven to cook through. Once they were done, I tossed them around in an additional splash of sauce. This might be too much sauce for your taste, but it was just right for me. The sauce is very different from the other sauces in the season 15 lineup and I think it's worth trying because of it. The description describes it well, it has an intense flavor, it's a bit earthy and smoky, so I probably wouldn't use it for breakfast. The people over at @cantinaroyalhotsauce Instagram are really nice and helpful if you want some tips on usage.

Nice garlic flavor with a good kick but not to hot

A lovely sauce. The oil suspension means you have to shake throughly. Good amount of immediate heat. Well seasoned and a hint of smoke

No. 6 tastes too much like chili seasoning. Tomasa has a unique smoky flavor.
